Pre-School and Nursery Financial Agreement

PRE-SCHOOL AND NURSERY FINANCIAL AGREEMENT

We believe that there needs to be a formal agreement between the Nursery and Parent/Carer. The contract will outline the financial obligations and commitment, of both the Nursery and the Parent/Carer(s).

15 HOURS FUNDING

We are registered for the Government’s Nursery Education Grant. From the term after your child is 3 years old, they are entitled to five free sessions at any setting accepting the Grant.  In some cases 2 year olds are eligible for 15 hour funding, for which the school will need to be provided with proof of a valid funding code.

You can start claiming free early education from the term following your child's 3rd birthday.

30 HOURS FUNDING

The Government also funds an additional 15 hours a week free childcare to some children aged three and four, this will be a total of 30 free hours a week.  If eligible, this will commence the term after their third birthday.  Sessions that amount to more than 15 hours will only be allocated when the school have been provided with proof of a valid 30 hours funding code.

It is the responsibility of the parent/carer to complete funding forms accurately with correct NI numbers, date of birth and a valid funding code, 3 times a year when requested by the school.

FEES

The first month’s payment is payable at the time of securing a place via Schools Cash Office.  Fees are calculated as per calendar month, based on the child’s booked and requested sessions.  Thereafter, payments must be made within a week of the invoice date via Schools Cash Office. We cannot accept cheques or card payments.   Temporary additional sessions/days must be paid for in advance and will not be refunded if cancelled.  All sessions booked must be paid for, regardless of whether the child attends.  No refunds will be given for sessions missed for any reasons.

It is the responsibility of the parent/carer to ensure the payment is made on time.  We are not liable for collections from third parties, e.g. colleges, grant funding, voucher providers etc. The parents remain responsible for all outstanding fees.

One calendar month’s notice will be given before any fee increase, closure of business or change in operation services offered.

ADDITIONAL FEES

Any child who stays for lunchtime will need to pay £5 for lunchtime provision.  This covers the cost of lunchtime supervision and includes a free hot meal (not covered by government funding).  The charge still applies if a packed lunch is provided from home.

For 2 year olds requiring additional 3 hour sessions a charge of £15.25 per session will be made.

For 3 and 4 year olds requiring additional 3 hour sessions a charge of £12.25 per session will be made.

Late pick-ups will be charged at £12 per hour or part hour after the latest pick up time, 10 minutes after the session ends.

Fees must still be paid even if your child is absent.

For your child to keep his/her place at our setting you must pay the fees due, otherwise your child’s hours may be reduced to funded sessions only. Sessions allocated for your child are reviewed regularly and if not attended may be withdrawn and offered to another child on our waiting list.

CHANGES TO BOOKED SESSIONS

If a parent wishes to amend their child’s sessions, they must request this in writing providing one month’s written notice and complete the necessary form.  Once availability has been confirmed, changes to sessions will commence after the next half term.

TERMINATION NOTICE

We require one calendar months’ notice, in writing, should you wish to terminate your child’s place for any reason.  The month’s fees will be used as payment for the termination notice and no part payment for the month will be given.  Parents remain liable for fees throughout the notice period.  If a parent withdraws their child during the notice period, the fees remain payable in lieu of notice.

COMMUNICATION

Parents are required to contact the school office by telephone/ email to notify us if your child is unable to attend.

It is the schools responsibility to notify parents of any policy updates, which are published on the school website.  It is the parents’ responsibility to ensure they have consulted and understood our policies and prospectus information prior to their child’s start date.  This information is available on the schools website.

COMPLAINTS

If a parent/carer is unsatisfied with issues involving the nursery, they can refer to our Complaints policy on the school website which will explain the correct procedure.

We reserve the right to terminate a place with immediate effect if a parent, carer or child displays abusive, threatening or inappropriate behaviour of any kind, no refund will be given on this occasion.
