Two's Provision - Tiny Turtles

Welcome to our Tiny Turtles provision. As part of our school we now offer funded places for two year olds. If you are eligible and would like a place please contact our school office on 01452 520411.

Our Tiny Turtles provision follows the Foundation Stage Curriculum underpinned by the Early Years Outcomes which are progressive, building on the skills and knowledge that a child already has.  Our main focus is on Communication and Language; Physical Development and Personal, Social and Emotional Development and this is approached through the childrn's needs and interests.

We approach our learning  through structured play-based activities which encourage the child to learn at their own pace and ability. Play is a key way in which young children learn. It is enjoyable and challenging. we ensure that play is purposeful and carefully planned objectives can be worked towards in a variety of learning situations which have the characteristics of play. It is important to remember that young children do not learn passively. They learn best by doing and being actively involved in their learning.

Your child has already learnt a great deal by the time they join us. These early years are the most formative and together parents and staff play a crucial part in establishing appropriate attitudes and approaches to learning in the children.

Please have a look at our prospectus below for more information.

The Two's have also had a very exciting Summer term, as you can see from the photographs below.  The new children have settled in well and have been playing in the Two's area and Pre school. They have been developing friendships and playing together; learning to share and take turns with the toys, lots of soft play, physical play and fun at the Queens 90th birthday celebrations. The older children have spent more time in Pre school in preparation for Pre School in September.
