"Dressed by Kids' Day

Thank you for all the generous donations for Oxfam, we raised £114.05.

Friday 16th June

We are taking part in a "Dressed by the Kids' Day organised by Oxfam. This will be a non-uniform day and the children can also wear a "silly accessory". Please bring a small donation for Oxfam Charity if you can. The teachers will be bringing in a range of silly clothing and accessories and the children will pick out the funniest one for their teacher to wear.

Reception Classes Hearing and Vision Screening

Hearing and Vision Screening for children in Reception is taking place in school on 16th and 17th May 2017. If you do not wish your child to be screened please phone 0300 421 8225.

 

Friday 24th March

On Friday 24th March we will be celebrating Holi (the Hindu Festival of Spring). Your child will be taking part in a Bollywood dance workshop and paint throwing activities. Please can your child come to school wearing old clothes that can get messy.

We will also be having a cake sale for Red Nose Day. Please send your child in with a cake donation and some money to buy a cake.

 

World Book Day

To celebrate World Book Day on Thursday March 2nd we have organised a bedtime story and dress up day. Your child will come home from school with a letter with all the information.

Y2 Clubs

A letter has come out today (23rd February) regarding Y2 clubs which start week commincing 27th February.

Christmas Dinner Menu, Wednesday 14th December

Roast Turkey with Stuffing and Halal Chicken Sausages or

Honey Glazed Quorn

both choices come with Roast Potatoes, Sprouts, Carrots and Gravy

Gingerbread Fairy Cakes.

The order list will be up from 29th November in your child's cloakroom. Please ensure you order your child's choice by Friday 2nd December.

Children In Need

Thank you for your kind donations, we raised £327.15.

Friday 18th November

On Friday 18th November we will be raising money for Children in Need. To help raise money children can come to school wearing pyjamas and or spots. School Council will be holding a cake sale at break time so please send your child in with a donation if they want to buy a cake. We welcome any cake donations.

Y2 Transfer to Junior School

Today, 7th November, your child will have come home with a letter giving all the information about applying for a Junior School Place. You can apply electronically or on paper. Please make sure you apply no later than the closing date of 15th January 2017.

Reception Classes Stay and Learn Open Mornings

This is an opportunity to come in and play with your child, to see how they learn at school and how you can help them at home.

The Phonics and Reading open morning will take place on Thursday 10th November, the writing on Thursday 17th November and the Maths on Thursday 24th November. All the sessions will begin at 9am and be about 45 minutes long.

Please come in and see how your child learns and what you can do to help at home.

Key Stage 1

Week Commencing 10th October 2016 the children will be building houses for our topic "A Street Through Time". Please may your child bring in as much junk modelling as possible. Thank you.

 

Key Stage 1

It is very important for your child to read regularly so they can practise the skills that they have learnt. Each class now has a home reading display. Every night that your child reads at home they can move their name on the chart. Please remember to sign your child's reading record. Thank you for your support. Key Stage 1 Team.

Donations to NSPCC/Build a Den Day
