Special Educational Needs and Disability
SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS and DISABILITY
From September 2014 a new duty in the SEN Code of Practice was placed on local authorities. This is referred to as the Local Offer, the purpose of which is to provide information for parents/ carers in a single place. The aim of this is to help parents/ carers understand their statutory entitlements and what they can expect from local agencies.
Details of the latest Gloucestershire Local Offer can be found at http://www.glosfamiliesdirectory.org.uk/kb5/gloucs/glosfamilies/localoffer.page
All information within the Local Offer section is there to assist the families of Children and Young People with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) between the ages of 0 to 25 years. It should make clear what provision is available for their child in early years settings, schools, colleges and other services including health and social care.
The SEN Information Report below is Tredworth Infant and Nursery Academy’s offer and details the current provision our school is able to offer children with identified SEND.
The school’s Special Educational Needs coordinator can be contacted through the school office or by e-mailing send@tredworth-inf.gloucs.sch.uk .
