School Lunch changes from September

From September, at dinner time, as well as providing a choice of hot meals, soups, paninis etc we will also be providing a selection of sandwiches.
Research shows that children make more progress if they have eaten the right nutritional lunch.

Only 1% of packed lunches provide the correct nutrition.

Children are better prepared for learning if they eat well.

Eating hot dinners is an important social occasion and the children learn vital social skills.

Because of this this, from September, we will be introducing a ‘no lunchbox’ policy and all children will have a school meal or sandwich, unless there are medical reasons why they should not, please supply evidence of this.

We cater for a range of dietary requirements, including vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free and halal.
You will be able to send in a ‘back up’ lunchbox in case your child does not eat their school lunch, but every child must take up a school lunch,
ALL MEALS PROVIDED IN SCHOOL ARE COMPLETELY FREE OF CHARGE
The benefits of having a meal provided by our in-house catering team are:
 Meals prepared and cooked fresh each day with fresh ingredients
 Nutritionally balanced menu – compliant with food standards
 Choice of a hot meals each day
 Halal
 Vegetarian option always available
 Choice of sandwiches each day
And of course this saves you time and money not having to buy, prepare and pack your child’s lunch at home *
